فرؤوس الرماح أذهب للغيط وأشفى لغل صدر الحقود




Defiantly live, or in honors die

Midstslashing blades and banners flapping high

Rage is best dispatched bylances’ points, and

Spearing spiteful chests shall their spitedeny

And nervous anger may cowardice mean

Arms are carried bypeople everywhere

But not all claws are lion’s, nor askeen

وكل شجاعة في الأرض تفني ولا مثل الشجاعة في الحكيم




Cowards see vapid impotence as sense

Suchis treacherous villainy’s defense

But valiant wisdom is of worthimmense
